Why Linksys Velop Is Deemed As The Next Level Router System?

Velop Routers were created with the aim to make the Wi-Fi coverage in your home easier and wider. Linksys has acknowledged the fact that the current router systems are inefficient in covering larger homes with a single Wi-Fi signal and this inability is taking a toll on the users who are unable to perform even the simplest of the tasks without any hassle. To get better signal coverage, users were forced to install Wi-Fi extenders, which then extend the range of Wi-Fi signals to reach in areas where there was no signal before.

Linksys after seeing all these problems launched Velop, a system that makes use of identical vase-shaped ‘nodes’, which can be placed in different rooms of the house and in any order. Each of those nodes uses a Tri-band 802.11ac radio, which dedicates two bands to all the devices that support Wi-Fi connectivity. Devices such as computers, tablets, and phones, etc., can be connected on 2.4GHz or 5GHz frequencies and thus, are supported by Linksys Velop.

The remaining band operates on 5GHz frequency, which is used as a backhaul for communications between nodes. Velop routers are smart devices that prevent bandwidth from being divided in half after the addition of a new node, which was seen in the traditional router and Wi-Fi extender combination.

Velop routers make use of multiple nodes, as it comes in the pack of 1, 2 and 3 nodes, and surprisingly, they all show under one SSID, which is designed to eliminate.

Velop is not just about that, but there are many user-friendly features integrated into Velop such as app-based setup, which allows users to make changes to the network over Bluetooth. Then, there is ‘Spot Finder Technology’ included in the routers, dynamic channel selection and compatibility with Amazon Alexa.

So, all these features make Velop a lot easy to access. Velop Whole Home Wi-Fi System is available at the price of $244, $427 and $489 for the pack of 1, 2 and 3 respectively. Many would find the price of the router to be on the expensive side, but that’s because it comes with the functionality of a router and an extender, so you are getting a device that performs like two device and has many other features too.

Linksys Velop has already become a big hit in the US and Canada, and now, the company has expanded its sales to European and Asian markets as well, which shows that people are interested in buying a new and more advanced router that eliminates the dark spots from the house without adding multiple different devices.
